Compatible Chimes for the SkyBell Doorbell Camera

The SkyBell Doorbell Camera only works with mechanical and digital chimes. Some chimes may be incompatible, so always confirm before installation.

Mechanical Chimes

Mechanical chimes are the most common and easiest to install with the SkyBell Doorbell Camera.

• Include standard Front/Trans/Rear leads.
• Use a physical striker pin to hit metal bars.
• Typically require removing the chime cover to identify the striker pins.
• No additional equipment is required.
• Polarity does not matter when wiring to the back of the SkyBell Doorbell Camera.

Digital Chimes

Digital chimes look similar but operate differently and require extra equipment when paired with SkyBell.

• Include standard Front/Trans/Rear leads.
• Contain a speaker instead of physical striker pins.
• Require a Digital Doorbell Adapter (DDA) to regulate power and ensure proper operation.

Important Notes

• Some digital and mechanical chimes are not compatible with SkyBell Doorbell Cameras.
• If using a digital chime without a DDA, issues like constant ringing may occur.
• Always verify chime compatibility before installation.
