Wiring the ADC-VDB770 with Two Chimes
The ADC-VDB770 supports up to two digital or mechanical chimes when wired correctly. To achieve this, two power modules must be used, and the chimes must be wired in parallel, not in series.
Step-by-Step Wiring Instructions
- On the first power module, connect the white wires interchangeably to the FRONT and TRANS terminals on the chime.
- On the second power module, connect the white wires interchangeably to the REAR and TRANS terminals on the second chime.
- Attach one wire from each power module to the transformer using a wire connector.
- Attach the other wire from each power module to the ADC-VDB770 using a wire connector.
- On the ADC-VDB770, connect the remaining wire directly to the transformer.
Wiring Diagram (Conceptual)
Transformer → Power Module 1 → Chime 1 (Front/Trans)
Transformer → Power Module 2 → Chime 2 (Rear/Trans)
Both power modules connect back to the ADC-VDB770 and transformer in parallel.
Note: Using parallel wiring ensures that both chimes can ring independently without interfering with each other. Always verify proper voltage and wiring before powering up the system.
