How to Install and Use the ADC-CSVR126 Commercial Stream Video Recorder

The Alarm.com CSVR126 Commercial Stream Video Recorder (SVR) is designed for secure video storage and playback. This guide covers installation, setup, LED indicators, and exporting recorded video.

Pre-Installation Checklist

  • ADC-CSVR126 (included)
  • Display with HDMI or VGA input (optional)
  • AC power adapter (included)
  • Ethernet/Cat5 cable (included)
  • HDMI (included) or VGA cable (optional)
  • Broadband Internet connection (Cable, DSL, or Fiber)
  • Computer or mobile device with Internet access
  • Dedicated network switch (recommended)
  • Alarm.com account with SVR-supported service package
  • Login credentials for the Alarm.com account

 

 

LED Guide

Power LED

  • Solid green: Device powered on
  • Off: Device powered off

Network (Tx/Rx) LED

  • Blinking green: Active network connection
  • Off: No network detected

Status LED

  • Blinking red: Device active
  • Off: Device idle

Adding the CSVR126 to an Alarm.com Account

  1. Connect the SVR to the network using an Ethernet cable.
  2. (Optional) Connect a display via HDMI or VGA.
  3. Plug in the AC power adapter and turn on the device using the rear power switch.
  4. Wait about 2 minutes for the device to boot.
  5. Add the device using one of the following methods:

Customer Website

  1. Go to alarm.com/addcamera.
  2. Log in with account credentials.
  3. Select the CSVR126 from the list or enter its MAC address (found on the bottom or packaging).
  4. Follow on-screen prompts to finish.

Alarm.com Mobile App

  1. Log in with account credentials.
  2. Tap the navigation menu → + Add DeviceVideo CameraCSVR126.
  3. Follow the guided steps.

MobileTech App

  1. Log into MobileTech and select the customer’s account.
  2. Tap Quick ActionsAdd DeviceVideo.
  3. Follow instructions to finish adding the CSVR126.

Viewing Live and Recorded Video Locally

  1. Attach a mouse (USB or wireless) to the SVR.
  2. Log in with the device password set during setup.
  3. Use the local playback interface to view recordings.

Main Menu Options

  • Live View: Select layouts and rotate camera feeds.
  • Playback: Watch recorded video and control playback speed.
  • Settings: Access advanced options or factory reset the device.

Exporting Recorded Video Locally

Note: Requires a third-party USB storage device.

  1. Plug the storage device into the USB 3.0 port.
  2. Log into the local interface.
  3. Navigate to Playback.
  4. Select the time range via calendar or drag brackets to set start/end times.
  5. Choose export destination and file format (MP4 or AVI).
  6. Click Export. Do not disconnect until export completes.

Powering Down the Device

Preferred Method (with display):

  1. Select the Power icon in the interface.
  2. Follow on-screen prompts, then toggle the rear power switch to Off.

Alternative Method:

If no display is connected, toggle the power switch to Off directly.

Troubleshooting

  • Not connecting: Power cycle the device, check Ethernet connection, and ensure Internet access.
  • Persistent issues: Perform a factory reset via Settings.
  • Caution: Factory reset may erase all recorded footage.

Yes. Multiple compatible video devices can be associated and managed through the Customer Website or MobileTech.
