Create/edit an Extreme Temperature Energy Savings rule

Extreme Temperature Energy Savings Rule

The Extreme Temperature Energy Savings rule helps save energy by automatically adjusting thermostat setpoints when extreme hot or cold weather is forecasted. This ensures comfort and efficiency without manual adjustments.

Note: Extreme temperature is based on the weather forecast for the following day.

Create an Extreme Temperature Energy Savings Rule

Follow these steps using the Customer Website:

  1. Log into the Customer Website.
  2. Click Automation.
  3. Locate Extreme Temperature Energy Saver and click Configure.
  4. If multiple thermostats or temperature sensors are available, use the dropdown menu to select the desired device.
  5. Click the toggle switch to enable or disable the rule.
  6. Under Settings:
    • Select the temperature thresholds for triggering the rule.
    • Use the dropdown menus to set how thermostats should respond (adjust target temperature up or down).
  7. To receive alerts, click + Add Recipient.
  8. Select recipients from your Address Book or click + New to add an unlisted recipient.
  9. Click Close once recipients are set.
  10. Verify the notification is configured correctly.
  11. Click Save.
