Thermostat Heating and Cooling Health Report

Heating and Cooling Health Reports are a monthly status reports sent in the first week of each month for a customer’s HVAC system.  It provides data on how much their HVAC system ran heating or cooling, statistics about performance and monthly temperatures, and a report card that overviews how the user interacts with their system. Additionally, it shows an end user where they could benefit on system performance or save energy and related costs.

ImportantThermostats must be enabled on the customer's service package.

 

Hardware requirements

Thermostat
  • Alarm.com Smart Thermostat (ADC-T3000 / ADC-T2000); or 
  • 2GIG CT-100

Note: Alarm.com is choosing to end support for the 2GIG CT-100. For more information, see 2GIG Z-Wave Thermostat (CT-100).

Panel

There are specific version requirements for each panel and module type.

Subscribing to the report

To subscribe to the Heating and Cooling Health Report from the Customer Website:
  1. Log into the Customer Website.
  2. In the Thermostats card, click the Details (>) icon.
  3. On the Thermostats page, click Reports.
  4. Click + New Report.
  5. Click Heating and Cooling Health Report.
  6. In the name field, enter a name for the report.
  7. In Thermostats to report, click the names of the thermostats to report.
  8. In Recipients, click + Add Recipient to choose who should receive the report.
  9. Click Close.
  10. Click Save.

View latest report

To view existing Heating and Cooling Reports from the Customer Website:
  1. Log into the Customer Website.
  2. In the Thermostats card, click the Details (>) icon.
  3. On the Thermostats page, click Reports.
  4. Click the Heating and Cooling Report to be viewed.

  1. Log into the Customer app.
  2. Tap the Menu icon.
  3. Tap Reports.
  4. Tap the Heating and Cooling Report to be viewed.

Frequently asked questions

Which specific information populates on the report?

The following information should appear:

  • Graph of average daily HVAC runtime through recent months
  • Snapshot of monthly statistics:
    • Average indoor and outdoor temp
    • Cool mode statistics
    • Heat mode statistics 
    • Auxiliary stage statistics
  • System Report Card:
    • Lets the customer know if runtime is within an acceptable range
    • Checks if they are utilizing their rules and alerts
    • Checks if they are employing any Remote Temperature Sensors
    • Checks if schedules are activate
Why don’t I see the Heating and Cooling Health Report on my account?

There are multiple reasons why the option for Heating and Cooling Health Report would not appear:

  • This feature has not been enabled on the account.
  • No compatible thermostats are currently enrolled to the account.
  • The account's panel/module does not support Rules Engine Version 3.
  • The account's service package does not include Thermostats.
Why didn’t I receive my report this month?

There are multiple reasons why a report would not be generated during the month:

  • A report subscription was never created.
  • The thermostat was deleted sometime during the month.
  • The report subscription was paused sometime during the month.
  • There was insufficient data to generate a report. Some common reasons for this are:
    • The panel or thermostat was offline for most of the month
    • The thermostats were installed later in the previous month
When should I expect to receive my monthly report?

Reports are delivered in the first week of every month. Typically reports will be sent by the third day of the month.

Can I stop receiving these reports?

Yes. Report subscriptions can be deleted or paused by navigating to the reports page on the website or mobile application and adjusting the subscription there.

Can I receive these reports for more than one thermostat?

Yes. It is possible to receive a report for all thermostats on an account. Each thermostat will have its own page on this report.

There’s an issue reported in the Report Card section of the report, what should I do?

Read the descriptive text, as there may be a simple solution like setting up a schedule or changing the device batteries.  If there is an issue with the system performance or cycle time it is best to reach out to your dealer or an HVAC professional.
