Lennox iComfort Thermostat Integration Guide

Alarm.com supports Lennox iComfort Thermostats (E30, M30, and S30), which control Lennox’s premium heating, cooling, and humidity systems. True Protection customers with these models can now integrate thermostat control within their Alarm.com smart home system.

Requirements

  • Compatible Lennox thermostat (E30, M30, or S30)
  • Current version of the iComfort Thermostat app
  • Current version of the Alarm.com app
  • Thermostats or Lights and Thermostat Bundle service plan add-on
  • Add Device Portal and Lennox iComfort installation wizard enabled

Before You Begin

1) Install the Thermostat

Only Lennox E30, M30, and S30 thermostats are supported. Follow the manufacturer’s installation instructions before integration.

2) Create a Lennox iComfort Account

  • Connect the thermostat to your home Wi-Fi network.
  • Record the username and password — they will be required during integration.

3) Verify the Alarm.com Account

  • Ensure the customer has an active Alarm.com account with the required service plan.
  • If creating a new account, follow True Protection’s setup guide or contact support.

Integrating Lennox iComfort with Alarm.com

Via Customer Website

  1. Log in to the Customer Website.
  2. Go to Settings → Manage Devices → Add Device → Thermostat.
  3. Select Lennox iComfort E30, M30, S30 Thermostat.
  4. Click Next and sign in using the Lennox iComfort credentials.
  5. Accept terms and conditions and wait for the discovery process to complete.
  6. Once you see Finished!, click Continue, then Finish Installation Process.

Via Customer App

  1. Open the Alarm.com app and go to Manage Devices → Thermostat.
  2. Select Lennox iComfort E30, M30, S30.
  3. Enter the iComfort username and password.
  4. Accept terms and complete the discovery process.
  5. Tap ContinueFinish Installation Process.

Viewing and Managing Lennox Devices

To manage installed Lennox devices:

  1. Log into the Partner Portal.
  2. Select the customer account → Equipment → Cloud Devices.
  3. View linked thermostats, unlink accounts, or request updated equipment lists.

Available Controls

  • View and adjust current temperature, humidity, mode, setpoints, and fan mode.
  • Change setpoints or modes directly from Alarm.com or the True Protection app.
  • Request updated thermostat status in real time.
  • Integrate thermostats into scenes or automation rules.
Note: Lennox thermostats proactively push updates to Alarm.com, ensuring faster and more accurate status updates than standard integrations.

Known Limitations

  • Schedules are not supported within Alarm.com (use the iComfort interface instead).
  • Alerts, custom rules, and health reports are not available.
  • Sensor averaging, deadband adjustments (above 2.5°C in Celsius), and HVAC graphing are unsupported.
  • Only one Lennox Home Account can be linked per Alarm.com account.
  • System monitoring and advanced analytics are not yet supported.

Updating Thermostat Information

If names, deadband, or modes are changed through iComfort or locally, request an updated equipment list in the Partner Portal to sync with Alarm.com.
