The DSC Temperature Sensor (PG9905) is a commercial-grade temperature sensor compatible with Smarter Business Temperature Monitoring (SBTM). For more information about SBTM, see Smarter Business Temperature Monitoring Overview.

Using DSC Temperature Sensors

The use of DSC Temperature Sensors depends on whether or not the customer account has SBTM enabled. 

If the account does not have SBTM: 

Accounts without SBTM enabled support up to 2 PG9905 sensors, as long as the account has the Thermostats service package add-on. This enables the following features:

• View current sensor temperature using the Customer Website or app
• Temperature Alert Notifications to receive an alert when the sensor detects a temperature above or below a specified threshold

If the account has SBTM: 

Accounts with SBTM enabled support up to 40 PG9905 sensors. This enables the following features:

• Create sensor profiles to quickly apply the same temperature thresholds to multiple sensors
• View current sensor temperature using the Customer Website or app
  • Includes a sophisticated temperature monitoring dashboard on the Customer Website
• Temperature Monitoring Notifications to receive an alert when the sensor detects a temperature above or below a specified threshold
  • Includes a notification buffer feature, allowing the user to only receive an alert if the temperature has been out of bounds for a specified amount of time
• Temperature History Report for viewing and tracking important daily, weekly, or monthly historical temperature data
