How to Enroll or Delete a Schlage BE468 Touchscreen Deadbolt from a Z-Wave Network
Z-Wave locks use encrypted communication, keeping connections secure. This added security requires extra Z-Wave commands during enrollment, which can sometimes cause communication breakdowns if the process isn’t followed closely.
Important Notes
- Do not add or delete user codes locally.
- Keep the lock within six feet of the panel during enrollment to ensure a reliable connection.
Enroll the Schlage BE468 Deadbolt
- Place the lock within six feet of the panel or module.
- Put the panel into Add Mode.
- Press the Schlage button on the lock.
- Enter the six-digit programming code.
- Press [0]. The programming indicator will flash rapidly while the lock is being included.
- When enrollment is successful, a checkmark will appear on the lock screen.
- Wait at least two minutes before locally operating the lock.
- Verify the lock shows up on the Alarm.com website and responds to lock/unlock commands.
- Move the lock to its final location and run a Network Rediscovery using the Partner Portal or MobileTech app.
Delete the Schlage BE468 Deadbolt
- Place the panel into Delete Mode.
- Press the Schlage button.
- Enter the six-digit programming code.
- Press [0]. The programming indicator will flash rapidly while exclusion is in process.
- When the lock has been successfully excluded, a checkmark will display on the screen.
- Run a Network Rediscovery using the Partner Portal or MobileTech app.
