Qolsys IQ Panel 2 — Set Up Auto Phone (Periodic) Tests
Auto phone tests (also called Timer or Periodic Tests) verify that your system is communicating and that the monitoring station is receiving signals. The Qolsys IQ Panel 2 supports programmable test intervals and multiple ways to configure them.
Monitoring requirement: To forward auto phone tests to the monitoring station, ensure Manual/Auto Tests is selected under Event Groups to Forward in the customer’s Monitoring Settings.
Compatibility
- Supported intervals: Never, Weekly, Monthly, Daily.
- Daily (24-hour) interval requires panel firmware 2.3.0+.
Configure via Partner Portal
- Log into the Partner Portal and open the customer account.
- Go to Remote Toolkit → Command Catalog.
- Expand Monitoring Station Settings and select Panel communication test frequency.
- Choose the New value (interval) and click Change.
Configure via MobileTech
- Open the MobileTech app and select the customer account.
- Tap Remote Toolkit → Command Catalog.
- Expand Monitoring Station Settings and tap Panel communication test frequency.
- Select the New value and tap Change.
Configure at the Panel
- Flick down from the home screen and tap Settings.
- Tap Advanced Settings and enter the installer code.
- Tap Installation → Installer Settings → Communication Test.
- Tap to select the desired supervisory interval.
Tip
If changes don’t appear right away, wait a minute and send a quick communication test or refresh the panel from Remote Toolkit.
