Qolsys IQ Panel 2 Camera Image Uploads

Configure your Qolsys IQ Panel 2 to capture and upload camera images during disarms and alarms. Images are stored in your Alarm.com event gallery for later viewing.

Overview

When enabled, the IQ Panel 2 captures images whenever the system goes into alarm or when the system is locally disarmed. Uploaded images are saved in the Images Event Gallery on the Alarm.com website or app.

Unlike the Image Sensor (which only captures when motion is detected), the panel camera can capture images during any alarm event. The IQ Panel 2 Plus can also capture video clips, but only images are uploaded to Alarm.com.

Requirements

  • Panel must be connected to Wi-Fi.
  • Account must be set for Dual-Path communication.
  • Service package must include Images – Limited or Images – Plus for alarm + disarm images, or Images – Alarms for alarms only.
  • Uploads count toward the customer’s monthly image limit.

All firmware versions of the IQ Panel 2 are supported. Note: The IQ Remote keypad does not support sending images to Alarm.com.

Configure Panel Camera Rules

  1. Log in to the Customer Website.
  2. Click Automation > Rules.
  3. Enable or disable the toggles for:
    • Panel Camera Alarm Image Uploads
    • Panel Camera Disarm Image Uploads

Example: Alarm uploads ON, Disarm uploads OFF.

Configure Notifications

  1. Click the edit icon next to the automation rule.
  2. Select + Add Recipient and choose recipients from the Address Book.
  3. If needed, click + New to add a new email or phone number.
  4. Click Save to confirm.
