​Sending a communication test from the panel initiates communication and verifies that the module is communicating on the cellular network.
For this test to send a signal to the monitoring station, verify Manual/Auto Tests are selected as an Event to Forward in the customer's Monitoring Settings. For more information about updating the monitoring settings, see Change the monitoring settings on a customer account.
To send a communication test using the installer code:
- Tap the logo in the bottom right of the screen.
- Enter the installer code (default is 1561).
- Tap Radio status.
- Tap Cell phone test. The panel begins the communication test, which may take up to 2 minutes.
- Upon successful completion, the panel displays The cell phone is working correctly. The test completed successfully. Tap Ok.
To send a communication test using the master or installer code:
- Tap Security.
- Tap Menu.
- Tap Toolbox.
- Enter the master or installer code.
- Tap to scroll to Toolbox (3 of 3).
- Tap Cell Phone Test.
- Enter the master or installer code again. The panel begins the communication test, which may take up to 2 minutes.
- Upon successful completion, the panel displays The cell phone is working correctly. The test completed successfully. Tap Ok.
To verify a successful communication test was received, check the customer's event history on the Partner Portal or MobileTech app for a Panel Manual Test monitor event. For more information about checking the event history, see View the customer's system event history.
