2GIG GoControl – Quick Programming Guide

1) Access the Installer Toolbox

  1. On the panel: Security → Menu → Toolbox → Right Arrow → Installer Toolbox.
  2. Enter installer code: 1561

2) RF Sensor Programming (Zones 1–48)

  1. Select Sensor (Zone) Type and Equipment Code.
  2. Enter the Serial Number or choose Learn and trip the sensor.
  3. Set Equipment Age (New/Existing) and Loop Number:
    • Loop 1: motions, glassbreaks, smoke, recessed D/W, panic pendant, D/W with wire lead
    • Loop 2: D/W using internal switch
    • Loop 3: flood & freeze sensors
  4. Configure Dialer Delay, Voice Descriptor, Reports, Supervision, and Chime (0–5). 

Tip: Review the Summary screen before moving to the next sensor. 

3) Wired Sensor Programming (1–2)

  • Set Zone Type, Equipment Code, Equipment Age.
  • Choose Normal State: Not Used / Normally Closed / Normally Open / Mixed (no EOL).
  • Set Dialer Delay, Voice Descriptor, and Chime

4) Keyfob Programming (Up to 8)

  • Set Fob Used, Equipment Code, Serial Number, Age.
  • Emergency Key options: Disabled / Auxiliary / Audible / Silent Panic / Fire.
  • Options: Fob Can Disarm, Arm with No Delay, Output (Disabled / Toggle / Momentary). 

5) Keypad Programming (Up to 4)

  • Set Keypad Used, Equipment Code, Serial Number, Age.
  • Enable/disable Emergency Key and add a Voice Descriptor

6) GSM Module Install & 2-Way Test

Install GSM (2GIG-GSM2)

  • Completely power down the system.
  • Install GSM with two screws, route antenna and connect to GSM port exactly as shown in the guide. :contentReference

Two-Way Test Over GSM

  1. Call the test number and enter the GSM radio serial to start the 30-min session window.
  2. On the panel, verify Radio Status is Yellow/Green; run Cell Phone Test with the Master Code.
  3. When the test call arrives, use DTMF controls: 1 Talk · 2 Vox · 3 Listen · 7 Extend · 99 End. 

7) Z-Wave Options (Q79–Q82)

  • Q79 Select Z-Wave Feature: Home Services visibility/enablement levels 0–3.
  • Q80 Switch Control: Disabled/Enabled.
  • Q81 Thermostat Control: Disabled/Enabled.
