2GIG GoControl Panel Battery Replacement Guide
About the Required Battery Pack
The 2GIG GoControl panel uses a special console battery pack available from the manufacturer. The standard backup battery included with 2GIG control panels does not support UL 985 installations. To meet the secondary supply requirement in UL 985: Household Fire Warning System Units, install the 2GIG Console Battery Pack (2600mAh Ni‑MH).
Replace the GoControl Battery
- Optional: Place the account in test mode with your monitoring station.
- Disarm the panel.
- Power off the panel and unplug the AC adapter.
- Remove the back cover: Unscrew the top and lift the cover off.
- Disconnect the old battery pack connector and remove the battery.
- Connect the new console battery pack to the control board connector.
- Reinstall the back cover and restore AC power.
Important: The control panel does not recognize the battery until AC power is connected to the power supply.
