Disable trouble beeps on a 2GIG GoControl
print icon

There is no way to indefinitely disable trouble beeps at all times for the 2GIG GoControl panel. Trouble beeps include beeps caused by AC power loss, system low battery, sensor low battery or RF supervision, failure to communicate with the Monitoring Station, control panel tampering while disarmed, and cell radio faults. However, there are a few other panel settings that can be adjusted for panel trouble beeps.

Note: If the customer has a 2GIG GoControl on version 1.17.0.3+, then they can silence trouble beeps for up to seven days using the Customer app. For more information, see Turn Off System Trouble Beeps from the Customer Mobile App.

Adjust panel programming for trouble beeps

The following are the questions in the system configuration settings that can affect panel trouble beeps:

  • Q24 (Select radio modem network failure causes trouble (0 to 1)) enables or disables trouble beeps for cellular network issues that would affect trouble beeps for the module's communication.
  • Q25 (Select radio modem network failure reports (0 to 1)) enables or disables trouble reporting on an alternate communication (e.g., land-line) if the module loses communication.
  • Q46 (Select trouble doesn't sound at night (0 to 1)) enables or disables trouble beeps from 10:00 PM to 9:00 AM.
  • Q47 (Select troubles resound after holdoff (0 to 7)) delay the resounding of troubles that have been acknowledged at the panel for up to seven days.
  • Q65 (Select RF jam causes trouble (0 to 1)) enables or disables trouble beeps for RF jam, which would affect sensor-panel communication.
  • Q71 (Select system tamper causes trouble (0 to 1) ) enables or disables trouble beeps for panel tampers only.
  • Q94 (Select broadband network failure causes trouble (0 to 1)) enables or disables trouble beeps for broadband network failure that would affect trouble beeps for the Go!Bridge's communication.

Disable trouble beeps for sensors in malfunction

If there is a specific sensor that has a loss of supervision (aka being offline or in malfunction), supervision for that zone can be disabled so that it does not cause the trouble to be reported for that device. Once the sensor is working properly again, supervision can be re-enabled for it. This process can be performed locally using the panel, or remotely using the Partner Portal or MobileTech app.

Note: Any sensor causing trouble could also be removed from the system, and then added again later. For more information about removing a sensor remotely, see Remotely remove sensors

To disable supervision for a sensor using the Partner Portal:
  1. Log into the Partner Portal.
  2. Find the customer account.
  3. Click Equipment.
  4. Click Sensors.
  5. In Sensor Management, click Advanced Sensor Settings
  6. Using the Device dropdown menu, select the sensor to disable supervision for.
  7. In the sensor's setting named Zone Info supervision enabled, click Edit
  8. Using the New value dropdown menu, select Disable
  9. Click Change to disable the sensor's supervision.
To disable supervision for a sensor using the MobileTech app:
  1. Log into the MobileTech app.
  2. Find the customer account.
  3. Tap Equipment.
  4. Tap Sensors.
