Remotely program a sensor to a 2GIG GoControl

Sensors can be added to a 2GIG GoControl panel remotely using the Partner Portal and MobileTech.

To remotely program a sensor using the Partner Portal:

  1. Log into the Partner Portal.
  2. Find the customer account.
  3. Click Equipment.
  4. Click Sensors.
    • To configure an existing device: 
      1. In Sensor Management, click Advanced Sensor Settings
      2. Using the Filter by dropdown menu, select the device to configure. 
      3. Click Edit for the setting to configure. 
      4. Enter the setting's New Value
      5. Click Change
    • To add a new sensor: 
      1. In Sensor Management, click Add A Sensor.
      2. In Sensor ID,  enter a sensor ID number that is open for use. 
      3. Using the Sensor Type dropdown menu, select the type of alarm to send to the monitoring station for the sensor. 
      4. In Equipment Code, enter the equipment code of the sensor. Click the ico_help.gif icon for more information about equipment codes.
      5. In Serial Number, enter the serial number (TXID) of the sensor. 
      6. Using the Equipment Age dropdown menu, select New or Existing to indicate the age of the keyfob. 
      7. In Loop Number, enter the loop number of the sensor. Click the ico_help.gif icon for more information about the loop numbers.
      8. Using the Dialer Delay dropdown menu, select Enabled or Disabled to indicate if the sensor follows the dialer delay. 
      9. Using the Voice Descriptor dropdown menus, select the words to name the sensor.
      10. Using the Reports dropdown menu, select Enabled or Disabled to indicate if the sensor reports to the panel. 
      11. Using the Supervised dropdown menu, select Enabled or Disabled to indicate if the sensor is supervised. 
      12. Using the Chime dropdown menu, select the type of chime the panel uses for the sensor. 
      13. Verify all the information is correct.
      14. Click Add Sensor.
  5. Once new devices are added, open, close and tamper the device to ensure it is working locally.

To remotely add a sensor using the MobileTech app:

  1. Log into the MobileTech app.
  2. Find the customer account.
  3. Tap Equipment.
  4. Tap Sensors.
  5. Tap to expand Sensor Actions
    • To configure an existing device: 
      1. Tap Advanced Sensor Settings
      2. Using the dropdown menu, select the device to configure. 
      3. Tap Edit for the setting to configure
      4. Enter the setting's New Value
      5. Tap Change
    • To add a new sensor: 
      1. Tap Add a Sensor.
      2. In Sensor ID, enter a sensor ID number that is open for use. 
      3. Using the Sensor Type dropdown menu, select the type of alarm to send to the monitoring station for the sensor. 
      4. In Equipment Code, enter the equipment code of the sensor. 
      5. In Serial Number, enter the serial number (TXID) of the sensor.
