Bypass a sensor on a 2GIG GC3
print icon

On the 2GIG GC3 panel, it is possible to bypass an open contact sensor, or any sensor with a trouble condition (e.g., tamper, low battery, offline, etc.) when arming a system from the customer website or mobile app.

When sending an arming command, the system automatically bypasses the sensor if Q20: Keyfob/remote arming mode on system not ready in System Configuration is set to either Auto-Bypass with Zone Participation on Restore or Auto-Bypass. A motion sensor that has been activated, such as one that has recently detected motion, would not be bypassed if the panel is being armed away.

Important: If Q20 is set to Arm Only When Ready, the 2GIG panel will be unable to bypass open sensors and will fail to arm if sensors are open.

It is not possible to select a specific sensor to bypass using the Customer Website or app. The only way to remotely bypass a sensor is to arm the system, which will trigger an automatic sensor bypass if the panel's programming allows for the remote bypass. For more information on how to bypass a sensor directly from the security panel, see 2GIG GC3 Panel - Quick User Guide
