SP1

The SP1 (2GIG-SP1-GC3) is a secondary touchscreen for the 2GIG GC3 that offers more options and control than the original SP2. 

The SP1 offers the exact same control features as the main GC3 panel. Full security control, as well as control over automation devices, including Scenes, Rooms, and Bookmarking options. The 2GIG-SP1-GC3 also displays full five-day weather display.

Compatibility

• The GC3 panel must have firmware 3.1.0+ to communicate to the SP1.
• The SP1 communicates over Wi-Fi. Both the SP1 and GC3 must be connected to the same Wi-Fi network.

SP2

The SP2 (2GIG-SP2-GC3) is a secondary touchscreen for use with the 2GIG GC3 panel. It communicates over Wi-Fi to the main control panel and is compatible with Alarm.com-enabled GC3 panel firmware version 3.1.0+.

The SP2 runs full Android. Occasionally, the SP2 has firmware updates which can be updated using an Over the Air (OTA) update using Alarm.com. For more information about what the update entails, contact the manufacturer, 2GIG.

Compatibility

• The SP2 appears in the customer's equipment list as long as the panel firmware version is 3.1.0+. 
• The SP2 communicates to the GC3 system using Wi-Fi direct. Both GC3 and SP2 need to be on the same Wi-Fi network.
  
  Note: Dual-Path communication on version 3.0.2 is not supported. The panel must be on version 3.1 + to support Dual-Path.
   
• The SP2 does not support reporting panic alarms (i.e., no ability to initiate a panic from the keypad).
• The SP2 does not support quick arm. 

Note: If the SP2 is reporting as unavailable, update the GC3 to firmware version 3.1.3+. 

To enable the SP2 to report to Alarm.com using the panel: 

Important: This option only appears on GC3 panels with firmware version 3.1+. 

If the keypad is requesting a pairing key, the panel is on a version lower than 3.1. The pairing key should appear on the main GC3 panel. For more information about pairing the SP2, see 2GIG's Wireless Touch Screen Instructions. 

1. Tap System Settings. 
2. Enter the installer code. 
3. Tap Installer Toolbox. 
4. Tap System Configuration. 
5. Tap Keypad. 
6. Tap to select the keypad number to enroll the SP2 in. 
7. Tap Equipment Code to configure the setting. 
8. Tap the current equipment code, then tap to select 1074 - 2GIG SP2 Touchscreen. 
9. Tap Pair to pair the keypad so that it reports to Alarm.com's equipment list.
