Sensors and peripheral devices can be added to a 2GIG GC3 panel using the Partner Portal, MobileTech app, or locally using the panel. 

Note: Device partitions can be configured if the 2GIG GC3 is on firmware version 3.2+ for Smart Areas support. For more information about multiple partitions with the 2GIG GC3, see How do multiple partitions work with the 2GIG GC3?. 

Compatibility 

The 2GIG GC3 is compatible with 345 MHz sensors. The following table displays the maximum amount supported of each device type:

To program devices using the Partner Portal:  

1. Log into the Partner Portal. 
2. Find the customer account. 
3. Click Equipment. 
4. Click Sensors. 
   • To configure an existing device: 
     1. In Sensor Management, click Advanced Sensor Settings.
     2. Using the Filter by dropdown menu, select the device to configure. 
     3. Click  for the setting to configure. 
     4. Enter the setting's New Value.
     5. Click Change.
   • To add a new sensor:
     1. In Sensor Management, click Add A Sensor.
     2. Enter all of the sensor information.
     3. Click Add Sensor to program the new sensor into the panel.
   • To add a new peripheral (keyfob or keypad): 
     1. In Sensor Management, click Add A Peripheral.
     2. Enter all of the information for either a new fob or a new keypad. 
     3. Depending on what type of peripheral device is being programmed, click either Add Fob or Add Keypad. 
5. Once new devices are added, open, close, and tamper the device to ensure it is working locally.

To program devices using the MobileTech app:  

1. Log into the MobileTech app.
2. Find the customer account. 
3. Tap Equipment. 
4. Tap Sensors. 
5. Tap to expand Sensor Actions. 
   • To configure an existing device: 
     1. Tap Advanced Sensor Settings. 
     2. Using the dropdown menu, select the device to configure. 
     3. Tap Edit for the setting to configure. 
     4. Enter the setting's New Value. 
     5. Tap Change. 
   • To add a new sensor:
     1. Tap Add a Sensor. 
     2. Enter all of the sensor information. 
     3. Tap Add Sensor to program the new sensor into the panel. 
        
        Note: Peripherals can only be added remotely using the Partner Portal. 
6. Once new devices are added, open, close, and tamper the device to ensure it is working locally.

To program devices using the 2GIG GC3 panel: 

1. Tap System Settings.
2. Enter the installer code.
3. Tap Installer Toolbox.
4. Tap System Configuration.
5. Tap the type of device to configure (i.e., Wireless Zones, Wired Zones, Keyfobs, or Keypads).
6. Tap Edit zone to configure the sensor.

7. Once new devices are added, open, close and tamper the device to ensure it is working locally.
